Gwen Goes Raw

Going back

LOL Whoops I misread that! Well I’d start by joining http://rawfood.meetup.com/374/ ! I be they’d be a good resource of info & like minded friends :)

My friend Jamie lives in Philly & has worked at Whole Foods for years, I bet he knows. We will find out!

You can do it! From what I hear, some of the best raw restaurants in the country are in NYC- I know that Pure Food & Wine has a take out store called One Lucky Duck that I want to try (but live in Dallas!). Good luck- I know you’ll do great & feel so much better!

I had a crazy weekend of cooked food & feel puffy & tired & headachy- got my green juice this morning (thanks to my friend Cyndi [ http://rawx.tumblr.com ]) & feel so much better already! <3

This was the tumblr I used to write about raw food recipes I wanted to try. However, since my last post I have stopped eating raw.

I have always been a stress eater and food has always been comforting to me. I entered into a very stressful time in my life and I went right my to my vegetarian comforts. Lots of cheese, lots of bread, not enough veggies.

And unfortunately, my body has felt the effects of my current diet. I would like to go back to being as fully raw as possible but it might take some time.

I just moved to Philadelphia from my hometown NYC. So there will be some challenges with going back to raw. I no longer have my own juicer. (for the time being, I’m sure I will buy one eventually) I don’t know the raw food community here. I don’t know if there are any good raw food restaurants here.

So I will explore my new area and keep you guys updated!

In the mean time check out this great raw food blog I have been reading http://www.choosingraw.com/

You are right! NYC does have some of the best raw places in the country, but I just left NYC :( I moved to Philadelphia.
